Terms of Service
Last updated: June 24, 2026
1. Who we are
TaxSetAside ("the Service") is operated by Swift Figures LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a limited liability company. By accessing or using the Service, you are entering into an agreement with Swift Figures LLC.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, clicking a magic-link claim, calling our API, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
3. The Service
TaxSetAside helps US-based independent contractors (creators) and the platforms that pay them estimate quarterly federal self-employment tax set-asides, track expenses, and export tax-filing artifacts (e.g. Schedule C summaries). The Service provides estimates and organizational tools, not tax, legal, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for your tax filings and for consulting a qualified professional where appropriate.
4. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
- Infringe any intellectual-property or privacy right;
- Send spam, malware, or attempt to probe, scan, or breach security;
- Scrape, mass-download, or reverse-engineer the Service;
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent;
- Circumvent rate limits, plan limits, or other technical restrictions.
6. Payments, subscriptions, and billing
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. For payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics please refer to Paddle's Buyer Terms.
Paid subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account or via the Paddle customer portal.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, documentation, branding, and design, is owned by Swift Figures LLC and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms and your plan. You retain ownership of data you submit (e.g. expense entries); you grant us a limited license to host and process it to provide the Service.
8. Service level and warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that tax estimates will match your final liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Swift Figures LLC's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US $100. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death/personal injury where such limitation is prohibited by law.
10. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold Swift Figures LLC harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach, non-payment, suspected fraud or abuse, or to protect the security and integrity of the Service. You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription and ceasing use. Upon termination you may export your data for 30 days; afterwards we may delete it.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Swift Figures LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
